Microspectra 1™ Vitrinite Reflectance Measurement System
IntroductionThe Microspectra 1 CoalPro™ Vitrinite Reflectance Measurement System is a microphotometer designed for the organic petrographic analysis using Standard Test Methodologies ISO 7404-5 and ASTM D2798. This microphotometer is configured to measure the reflectance from vitrinite coals & kerogens per these and other international protocols. However, it also has a very flexible design. The Microspectra 1™ was developed anticipating the next generation of test protocols as well as for fluorescence and micro-imaging.
In its basic configuration, bundled with Microspectra Vitrinite Reflectance Analysis™ software, the Microspectra 1 CoalPro™ vitrinite reflectance measurement system grades vitrinite coals using the ISO 7404 and ASTM D2798 standard test methods. However, the Microspectra 1™ can also be configured as a full microscope spectrophotometer to measure the full reflectance spectrum and the spectral fluorescence from coal, kerogen and other petrochemicals. Additionally, it can capture high resolution, full color images: all with the same instrument..
FeaturesKey Features*
The Microspectra 1™ Microscope Photometer can be configured for photometry from the deep ultraviolet to near infrared. It can be added to a microscope to acquire photometric data and images in absorbance, reflectance, and fluorescence. The lit hexagonal optical head is a trademark of CRAIC Technologies, Inc.
UV-visible-NIR microscopes, UV-visible-NIR microspectrometers and Raman microspectrometers are general purpose laboratory instruments.
